Noelvi Marte took Double-A South by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 22.
For his spectacular campaign, the Mississippi Braves star has been named the 2024 Double-A South Most Valuable Player Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the shortstop.
On the season he compiled a .345 batting average to go with a .421 on-base percentage. The native of CotuĂ, Dominican Republic also added 25 doubles, no triples, 6 home runs, 64 RBIs and 57 runs scored.
He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 8. Luis Matos of the Mississippi Braves finished second in voting, while Seth Romero of the Tennessee Smokies finished third with 1 first place vote.
